Carmel Bach Festival, August 12, 2008, Carmel, California

Devony Smith and Christian Pursell were invited to perform as soloists at the Carmel Bach Festival Young Artists Concert on August 12.

Chancellor's Inauguration, June 6, 2008
Santa Cruz, California

Alexander Faulk, a 2006 MVCS graduate and continuing voice student of Dr. Dehner, was chosen by the UCSC music department as a soloist to sing the National Anthem for 1,000 people at the Chancellor's Inauguration on June 6, 2008.  He will also sing the tenor lead in the UCSC Opera for the 08-09 season.

American Musical Theater, May 29, 2008
San Jose, California

Christian Pursell was a featured soloist at the American Musical Theater of San Jose Honors Night. He was presented an award and performed “O What a Beautiful Morning” for an audience of parents and student performers from 30 Bay Area high schools.

Two of our choirs earned a spot at this year's Festival.  Our Concert Choir will perform in the Concert Choir Division, and our Honor Choir will perform in the Chamber Choir Division.
