Jason Hedden is a teacher, performer, and director who holds an M.F.A. in Acting and the Creation of New Works from The Ohio State University, where he was a finalist for the 2005 Graduate Associate Teaching Award.
He also holds a B.A. in theatre performance from the University of South Florida, where he worked with top British directors including Bill Bryden, Matthew Francis, and Rachel Kavanaugh.
He spent several years in Seattle as a professional actor and freelance teaching artist. Regional acting credits include The Tempest and the all male version of Taming of the Shrew, both with Seattle Shakespeare Company, and a two year tour of The Phantom Tollbooth with Book-It Repertory Theatre.
He is the creator and performer of Let’s Get this Show on the Road, Tennis Pro, and director/co-creator of Oliver Hazard Perry: The Price of Victory.
His most recent new work, Resurrecting Van Gogh, premiered at the Creative Center in NYC in January of 2007.
